"A ball was thrown towards Mohammed Siraj by the Headingley crowd": Rishabh Pant
Share:

India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj had a ball thrown at him from the crowd stated by Rishabh Pant, which irritated India skipper Virat Kohli. It's unclear what sort of ball it was or whether it was intentionally directed towards Siraj. India, on the other hand, has filed no complaint against it.

In the press conference following the first day's play, Pant was asked why Kohli looked upset at what the crowd was saying. "I think, somebody threw a ball inside, at Siraj, so he [Kohli] was upset," Pant said. "You can say whatever you want to chant, but don't throw things at the fielders and all those things. It is not good for cricket, I guess."

Siraj had complained of racial harassment at the SCG earlier this year, which led to the expulsion of the suspected abusers. KL Rahul was spotted tossing back a champagne cork that had fallen to the ground and maybe hit him during the Lord's Test. despite India's complaint, Champagne corks have become a safety issue at Lord's, which guests brings in.
