There is big news about Union Minister Narayan Rane. In fact, he has received a big setback from the Bombay High Court. It is being told that the High Court has ordered the BMC to bulldoze the illegal construction of his bungalow in Juhu. A fine of Rs 10 lakh has also been imposed on the Rane family. It is being told that the BMC had sent a notice about illegal construction in Rane's bungalow. It is reported that it will cost Rs 10 lakh to convert the illegal construction of the bungalow into debris, which Rane will have to pay. It is being told that the height of the bungalow should not have been more than 11 meters, but it was made 32 meters high, after which the High Court on Tuesday ordered the demolition of the illegal construction within 2 weeks.

Narayan Rane was sent a notice by an officer of the BMC's K-West ward and it was issued under Section 351 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act for violation of the plan made by the BMC. In fact, the illegal construction of the bungalow belongs to the company of Narayan Rane's family. A bench of Justices RD Dhanuka and Kamal Khata dismissed the petition and imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the company and directed it to be deposited with the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MALSA). The bench observed while restraining the BMC from entertaining the regularisation petition filed by Rane for the second time.

At the same time, the bench said, "The BMC cannot be allowed to take steps contrary to the decisions of the Supreme Court and the provisions of the law. If allowed to be considered, it will boost bulk manufacturing, which will reach the allowing for consideration. The petitioner constructed three times the sanctioned limit.'' Advocate Shardul Singh, appearing for the Rane family, had sought a stay on the BMC's proceedings for six weeks so that he could move to the supreme court. However, the High Court refused. Kalka Real Estate Pvt Ltd, a company owned by the Rane family, had filed a fresh application for regularisation of the bungalow seeking directions from the BMC.
