The court, in its new order, said that copyrighted songs cannot be played without paying Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) for restaurants, pubs and hotels, cafes, bars and resorts across the country. If you understand this new order of the court directly, then most of the popular and hit songs fall under the purview of PPL India.
