Bombay High Court Refuses Interim Bail To Arnab Goswami

New Delhi: Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV got a major setback from the Bombay High Court for inciting interior designer to suicide. The court has refused to grant him interim bail. Justice SS Shinde and Justice MS Karnik reserved their verdict for Saturday.

Earlier, Arnab had made serious allegations against the Maharashtra Police. On Sunday morning, Arnab was being transferred from Alibaug to the Taloba Jail in Navi Mumbai. Meanwhile, Arnab shouted to the press from inside the police van that his life is in danger. Arnab Goswami said that he is not being allowed to talk to his lawyer and he is being tortured in custody.

Arnab Goswami further said, “I have urged them many times to let me talk to my lawyers. But the police did not allow this to happen. I am telling everyone that my life is in danger. My police custody was dismissed. They were trying to shift me at night. I was dragged this morning. Everyone is watching what is happening to me. They want to delay the process, putting me in jail. Please bail me out. I am appealing to the Supreme Court. "
