Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Tuesday that he is likely to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass in Delhi, including JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah, during his two-day visit, raising the possibility of discussing cabinet expansion of his eight-month-old government.

"I've come to discuss a number of projects, and in the meanwhile, I'll meet with BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah," he said. "During the meeting with them, issues related to party organisation will be discussed," Bommai told reporters here.

"However, no date has been set for the meeting with party senior brass," the chief minister said. Only after the meeting would we know if we would pursue a ministry expansion or reshuffle."

In a news conference earlier on Tuesday, Bommai also stated that he will meet with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss various matters

"I have an appointment with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman to discuss GST concerns." Rajnath Singh, the Union Defence Minister, has agreed to affiliate Sangolli Rayanna School as a Sainik School. I'll also meet with Rajnath Singh to talk about a few topics," he added.
