Lucknow: In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a book labeling the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as terrorists was discovered at Jamia Habibiya Masjid-e-Azam Madrasa. This finding emerged while investigating a case involving the illegal printing of counterfeit currency at the madrasa. The book, authored by former Maharashtra IG SM Musarif and with articles published in Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, was among the materials seized during the raid.

On August 28, police raided the madrasa located in Atarsuiya and uncovered fake currency amounting to Rs 1 lakh, along with a machine used for printing these notes. Four individuals involved in the operation were arrested: Mohammad Afzal and Mohammad Shahid from Kareli, Maulvi Mohammad Tafsirul Arifin from Atarsuiya, and Zahir Khan alias Abdul from Odisha. The madrasa’s maulana had provided them with a room for their illegal activities.

The police investigation into the fake currency operation led to the discovery of the anti-RSS book and suspicious material on the accused's mobile phones. The Intelligence Bureau is now involved, probing further into the matter. Some suspects remain on the run, with fears that they may have fled to Pakistan.
