New Delhi: Efforts are on through military talks between India and China to ease the deadlock over the border dispute in Ladakh. Indo-China military commander-level talks are expected to be held on April 9 to end the ongoing tensions in the Gogra, Hot Spring, and Deppsang region of Ladakh.
Indian Army sources said on Tuesday that the 11th round of talks between the two countries will be held on April 9. In Ladakh, the Indian and Chinese armies have been at loggerheads for over a year. According to sources, after resolving the standoff with China in the Pangong Lake region, the armies of the two countries are likely to discuss the issue of reducing military presence in Gogra hills and the Depsang region.
The discussions will take place after the recent diplomatic level talks on the India-China military dispute. The two countries had agreed to withdraw troops in Pangong after a meeting of various military and political levels last month. All sides had credited Army Chief MM Naravane for resolving the dispute.
