Picking up a 5-wicket haul in a T20 match is a highly notable achievement and could be compared to a batsman’s score of 90 or 100. In IPL T20 cricket, only 18 time 5-wicket hauls have been taken the latest being Jaydev Unadkat against SRH in the previous season. Here we look at 5 bowlers with most 5-wicket hauls in IPL history.

5. Sohail Tanvir-1

There is no denying the fact that absence of Pakistani players in the Indian Premier League has affected the overall quality of the cricket, given how well they did in the first 2 seasons. Sohail Tanvir ended the first season of the IPL as the leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets including the tournaments first 6 wicket haul against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings.

4. Adam Zampa-1

Only the second bowler in the history of Indian Premier League to pick 6 wickets in a single inning, Adam Zampa was another shock from this year’s auction as he went unsold. The 26-year-old was playing for the Rising Pune Supergiants in the 9th season against Sunrisers Hyderabad when he picked 6 wickets for just 19 runs. His wickets included the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson and Moises Henriques. In total Zampa picked up 9 wickets from his 11 outing in the IPL.
