Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy has been relased and reciving the rave reviews at the boz office, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer has taken a good start at the box office in the morning shows. According to a report in Box office India, while Gully Boy is good all over, it has taken a blockbuster start in cities like Mumbai and Pune. Talking about occupancy rate, it is around 40-45 per cent in the morning shows.

The occupancy rate of Zoya directorial is even bigger Padmaavat, which was much bigger in scale and released last year on Republic Day. Looking at th eoccuapacy and reviews of the audience, it seems like the movie might rake in around Rs 20 crore on its opening day. The occupancy is expected to go even higher in the evening shows as the reviews of the film are extremely positive and the word of mouth from the general audience too is extremely phenomenal.  The report also suggest that, while the opening at major multiplexes in metro cities is of the blockbuster level, the same can't be said about the mass circuits. The opening at the mass circuit is quite low.
