Ranchi: Khushi Kumari (17), a minor, committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in Egyarkund Siyarkanali village in the Galfarbari OP area of Jharkhand. The incident took place at 3 pm on Sunday. Mother Phelu Devi said she was at home. She was washing dishes in the courtyard. Father Shivshankar Bauri had gone out of the house in connection with work. When she washed the dishes and went home, the door of the house was closed. The brick-coated door was closed. When she called, there was no answer. Pushed the door, and then she saw that her daughter was swinging from the noose. She was taken to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Father Shivshankar Bauri has accused neighbour Rahul Bauri (20) of forcing her to commit suicide. He said that his daughter was having an affair with Rahul for 3 years. Rahul was refusing to marry. After the incident, the police were informed about the whole matter. The police questioned the people around along with the family members. Police sent the body to Dhanbad for post-mortem. Rahul has been absconding since the incident. Police said that the entire case is still under investigation. Thereafter, further action will be taken.

The father of the deceased Khushi said that when the daughter's marriage to a boy was fixed, Rahul hindered it. On Saturday night, Rahul called and told the daughter something that she got tense. He had been missing since Sunday morning. She used to go to her aunt's house in Nirsa every Sunday, but she did not go this Sunday. The mother gave Rs 100 to go to Nirsa. In anger, she threw away the money. In the afternoon, she locked herself in her room and committed suicide. Mother Phelu Devi and father Shiv Shankar Bauri said Khushi was the only daughter. Now they have nothing left to lose. Rahul and his family members will definitely be punished for the death of his daughter. Now the matter is being investigated by the police.
