Brahmastra Future: Blockbuster or Biggest Flop of the year

Brahmastra is one of the most expensive movies of the year made up with a whopping amount of Rs 400 crores. The movie is already called for Boycott. As per a recent report, Brahmastra's advance booking was off to a flying start. Till 11.30pm on September 6, approximately 1.3 lakh tickets were sold at national multiplex chains - PVR, Inox and Cineplex. The film earned Rs 18 crore in the advance booking last night.

The Box office report claimed that, “ The advance is driven by excellent sales at the national chains especially in 3D with sales on Saturday being super strong and only 30% less than the first day which is very rare. The advance is less is at places like Gujarat / Saurashtra and the Central circuits but even here it is more than anyone would have expeceted before advance started. Its just comparatively these circuits are a bit lower than others. The final advance of the film is likely to end in the 27-32 crore nett range and wherever it falls it is an excellent advance and if we talk post pandemic than it is phenomenal. The advance of the film should be enough to break two myths in the industry.

Another report of Prediction added, "On Day 1, it has to collect Rs 25 crore net, and probably around Rs 75 crore at the end of the three-day weekend, considering they are expecting Rs 10 crore in advance booking. It should be the Number 1 Hindi movie, bettering Sooryavanshi. Given the buzz and the promotions, it should manage to do that.” There is no doubt that the advance booking of the movie is great but considering the Budget of Brahmastra it is nothing and it has to perform really well at Box office. If the collection fell in its opening days then it will prove very bad for the film’s future.
