In Kedarnath, the exercise of preserving the state flower Brahmakamal has started. For this, Brahmavatika will be built on five hectares of land along the Mandakini river. The central government has sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for the garden. Other flowers and herbs will be produced along with Brahmakamal. This project is involved in rebuilding Prime Minister Modi's dream project Kedarnath.

Kedarnath Wildlife Division has selected land for this garden in Kedar Dham in the foothills of Central Himalayas at an altitude of about 11,750 feet above sea level. Soon it will be levelled. Officials claim that the Brahmavatika will be built and prepared before the closure of the kaput this year if the weather supports. After the Brahmavatika is ready in Kedarnath, flowers and herbs are to be grown here, for which a nursery has been prepared in Deoriatal.

The nursery has sown the seeds of rare floral species and herbs found in the Central Himalayan region. The formalities required for the construction of the Brahmavatika are being completed at Kedarnath. A target has been set to prepare the garden until this journey. After this, the nursery being prepared in Deoriatal will be shifted here. The main objective of Vatika is to increase the production of other herbs with the preservation of the state flower Brahmakamal.
