Another shocking news has now surfaced about coronavirus patients. In fact, it is also having a serious impact on the patient's mind. Yes, and this has been indicated in a recent study. The study revealed that covid patients suffering from mild illness can still face 'brain fog,' which can last for 9 months. At the same time, experts are saying that patients suffering from long covid may face difficulties in taking care of. According to a well-known website, a study published in the journal Brain Communications reported that 135 people were analysed.

During the study, all these people were included in 12 brain games related to the brain. 40 per cent of the respondents said that they had been infected with covid and 7 of those who had been infected had suffered severe symptoms. Also, two people said they had long covid. However, others said they did not have any other long covid related problems including fatigue, breathing difficulties, pain. The results of the study were compared to the control group.

On the other hand, experts say that the Covid group did well in terms of short-term memory working and planning, but their score was very poor in terms of remembering previous events and keeping a close watch on time. It is also reported that those who suffered from covid found that their accuracy in a 'brain game' declined from 75.5 per cent to 67.8 per cent within three minutes. At the same time, the figure came down from 78.5 per cent to 75.4 per cent among those who did not get infected.

During this period, all the participants were called again after two months of initial investigation and this time they were asked for 11 more games. The persons involved were investigated for the performance of Immediate Memory and Delayed Memory. In the meantime, in a game, the person had to take care of 20 objects and both groups scored around 60 per cent on average in terms of Immediate memory. But in the long memory test 30 minutes later, people who were infected with covid slipped into memory, while in the case of the other group, the results were the opposite. Looking at the report, many people's memory and attention came to normal after 6-9 months.
