Rio de Janeiro: President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro has once again made objectionable statements about the press. Bolsonaro said on Monday that journalists are weak and therefore more likely to die of Corona infection. Bolsonaro has said that journalists are not athletes, they are weak and therefore they are more likely to die due to corona infection.

It is worth mentioning that earlier on Sunday, the President of Brazil had talked about punching a journalist in face. In fact, when the reporter questioned the allegations of corruption on his wife, he was shocked. He told the journalist that "I want to punch you in the mouth". The relationship between right-wing president Jair Bolsonaro and the media is not very good. He treats only a few selected Journalists well. Like Bolsonaro, there is no dearth of people hating media among his supporters. Several times journalists have been targeted by their supporters in rallies and public functions.

Bolsonaro gave his example while addressing on Monday on the topic of 'Defeating COVID-19'. He told how he managed to defeat Corona. He said that he was able to cope well with Corona due to the use of hydroxychloroquine and having an athlete background. Before suffering Corona, President Jair Bolsonaro said that the athlete's background made him immune to Corona.
