Raipur: The 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' of the Congress started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The 3,570-km-long yatra will pass through 12 states in five months. Along with Rahul Gandhi, many senior Congress leaders are participating in this yatra. Before starting the yatra, Rahul Gandhi reached the martyrs' memorial of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot were also present with Rahul Gandhi. Chief Minister Bhupesh also attacked the BJP without naming anyone.

Addressing the gathering before the yatra, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that this is the place where the three seas meet. This is the place from where Vivekananda Ji took power and gave a message to the whole world in Chicago. This is India where persecuted people from all over the world have got shelter. Mahatma Gandhi came here and gave the message of peace. Following the path of truth and non-violence, he overthrew the British. People who believe in the same British are working to spread poison in the country today.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that today Rahul Gandhi is taking out a yatra to connect India. Bharat Jodo Yatra is going to bring a new change in the politics of this country. The journey has begun. On this occasion, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin along with Rahul Gandhi were handed over the tricolour at the beginning of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
