Leh: Amid the ongoing confrontation with China, India has built the world's tallest road near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) adjoining eastern Ladakh. At an altitude of 19,300 feet, the Border Road Organisation (BRO) has completed the Umling-La pass by constructing a motorway. The road is close to the disputed Demchok area between India and China.

On Thursday, BRO said it would build a road on umling-la pass. BRO released a video of the Umling-La Pass road on its official Twitter handle and said, "Look at project Himank's resolve to build the world's tallest road construction." According to BRO, both men and machines are tested at minus (-) 40 degrees Celsius, and the workers of BRO successfully achieved the world's most difficult goal by risking their lives.

So far, the Kharadungla road (18,380 feet) in Ladakh was considered to be the longest road in the world. But the Umling-La pass road has now become the longest road in the world. Tell you that the Umling-La pass is close to the disputed Demchok area of the Line of Control (LAC) between India and China. The construction of this pass will not only increase connectivity between areas like Demchok and Hanley in eastern Ladakh but will also enable faster army movement.
