Amritsar: Pakistan is not shying away from carrying out their nefarious activities. Activity related to terrorists and drones is seen on the border every day. Now BSF personnel once again saw drone movement in the Ramdas area located near Amritsar and Gurdaspur bordering Pakistan. As soon as the BSF personnel saw the drone hovering on the Indian border, they immediately opened fire on it and shot down the drone.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has now launched a search operation in the entire area to find out if the consignment of weapons and drugs was sent from Pakistan through drones. Along with BSF, the local team of the Punjab Police is also involved in the search operation. Earlier, on October 4, a drone movement was seen near the international border in the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab.

Officials had suspected that the drone had come from Pakistan. There are reports of drones being sent to Pakistan every day. Smugglers sitting in the neighbouring country sometimes smuggle drugs into India through drones. Ammunition and weapons have also been seized several times. BSF personnel have foiled many such plans of Pakistan through their vigilance.
