Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) has made significant seizures in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, intercepting two drones and a substantial quantity of narcotics in separate incidents along the India-Pakistan International Border. In a coordinated operation, BSF personnel recovered a total of 1,060 grams of suspected methamphetamine from the drones.

The first drone was confiscated around 8:10 pm from a farming area in CB Chand village, followed by the interception of the second drone on the outskirts of Kalsian village at approximately 10:35 pm on the same evening. These seizures underscore the ongoing efforts by the BSF to combat the smuggling of narcotics and ensure border security.

According to the BSF statement, vigilant troops acted swiftly upon receiving information about the presence of drones carrying narcotics in the border area of Tarn Taran district. Thorough search operations led to the recovery of one drone along with a packet of suspected methamphetamine weighing 540 grams from CB Chand village, and another drone with a packet weighing 520 grams from the outskirts of Kalsian village. Both packets were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, with a metal wire ring attached. The recovered drones have been identified as China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic, further demonstrating the BSF's commitment to thwarting illicit activities along the border.
