Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) has shot down another Pakistani drone carrying a consignment of narcotics (drugs) near the Amritsar border. At around 8.30 pm on Sunday, BSF personnel heard the sound of a drone in Dhanoi Khurd village near the border. The drilling soldiers immediately came into action and immediately shot down the Pakistani drone. This is the sixth Pakistani drone shot down by the BSF in the last 10 days.

The BSF then conducted a search operation in the area and a black drone (quadcopter, DJI matrices, 300 RTK) was recovered from the fields. The drone was carrying a bag of suspected narcotics tied to a wire and a consignment of drugs was kept inside the drone. The consignment of suspected narcotics recovered weighs around 2.700 kg. Thus, another attempt by Pakistan to send narcotics was foiled by alert BSF personnel.

"On the night of May 27-28, a BSF contingent shot down a drone (quadcopter, DJI Matrices RTK 300) near Dhanoi Khurd village in Amritsar district. The soldiers also caught a smuggler. Three packets of heroin have been recovered. BSF has recovered a consignment of heroin at another place. Further legal action will be taken after interrogating the smuggler."
