Lucknow: After the name of Akhilesh Yadav came up from the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh, the BSP also put forward Mayawati's name for the Prime Ministerial candidate. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has made a conditional proposal for a third front. BSP national spokesperson Dharamveer Chaudhary issued a statement saying that if Mayawati is declared the prime ministerial candidate, the BSP is ready to join the Third Front.

Chaudhary has said that there is no other leader of Mayawati's stature. Dharamveer said that with these conditions, the BSP will have no objection to joining the third march. He said that anyway the participation of Uttar Pradesh is very important to form the government at the Centre. Here BSP's influence is on a large section, whereas Congress has no existence left. Let us inform you that earlier in the national convention of SP, senior leader Ravidas Mehrotra said that a non-BJP government should be formed in the whole country, SP should become the single largest party and Akhilesh should become PM.

At the same time, Akhilesh said in response to his words that Ravidas Ji has shown such a big dream. We don't think we would reach that position. We do dream that somehow the BJP government will be out of power. Recently, SP MP Hasan had described Akhilesh as a suitable contender for the prime minister's post. Apart from Ravidas Mehrotra, former Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary had also reiterated the same.
