Taking up the issue of atrocities on Muslims in Pakistan, Mayawati has once again demanded a change in citizenship law. He said this on the occasion of his 64th birthday. Apart from this, he further said that citizenship law has been advocated to be made in a new way. In the party office on Wednesday, Mayawati reiterated the need to maintain equal distance from the BJP and the Congress and refused to comment on the SP. BSP national president and former chief minister Mayawati is celebrating her 64th birthday as 'Public Welfare Day' on Wednesday.

According to media reports, during the 22-minute press conference at the party's state headquarters on Mall Avenue, the BSP chief spent most of his time bashing the BJP and the Congress. He did not forget to give information about sending ministers and MLAs to jail to improve law and order during his rule. Opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), he demanded to be renewed. He said that it is wrong to discriminate against Muslims in granting citizenship.

Apart from this, he said that it is not that all Muslims living in neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, are not oppressed by the government. At the same time it is possible with anyone, so the government should withdraw the existing law. A new law should be made with common consent and the victimized Muslims should also be given citizenship. Mayawati elaborated the efforts made by the BSP against the CAA. He said that the CAA has been implemented by the government only because of its stubbornness and stubborn attitude. Due to which situation like situation has arisen in the country.
