Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and four-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati has made a big announcement on her birthday today. The BSP supremo has put an end to the speculation about opposition unity in the coming Lok Sabha elections. On the occasion of her birthday, Mayawati has made it clear that her party will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in the states of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh etc. without any alliance.

Mayawati also clearly said that BSP's voter base has increased whenever elections were held through a ballot, and the voting percentage has also been high, but it has been different when elections are held with Electric Voting Machines (EVM). Not only this, Mayawati has termed the victory of the BJP as a miracle of EVM. Talking to reporters on the occasion of her birthday at the party office on Sunday, Mayawati said that some parties are spreading the illusion of an alliance with the BSP, so she wants to make it clear that she will contest elections without an alliance. They do not get any benefit by forging an alliance, on the contrary, their vote definitely goes to other parties, but they do not get any benefit.

Mayawati said about voting with EVM that there are apprehensions about it, where the process of voting started with EVM, but it was stopped after disturbances. But elections are still being held in our country with EVM. She said that till the elections were held through ballot papers, the seats of her party increased, but after the elections were held through EVMs, it has been affected.
