New Delhi: Before presenting the Union Budget for 2022-23 in Parliament on Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with President Ram Nath Kovind.

It was customary for her to meet with the President. Ministers of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and Bhagwat Karad, as well as senior Ministry officials, joined the Finance Minister.

"Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Finance, along with Ministers of State for Finance, Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Pankaj Chaudhary, and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, called on President Ram Nath Kovind before delivering the Union Budget 2022-23," Rashtrapati Bhavan stated on Twitter.

In a few minutes, the Union Budget 2022 will be introduced. For the second year in a row, the Minister carried the digitalized budget on a tablet enclosed in a scarlet cover with a golden national insignia engraved on it, rather than the usual briefcase or 'bahi khata.'

Earlier in the day, Minister of State Chaudhary stated that the budget would be inclusive and beneficial to all. "Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will unveil an inclusive budget that addresses the demands of all sectors. It will be beneficial to all... From today's budget, all sectors (including farmers) should have high expectations "he stated.
