Since the pudding was made, more than 100 people in the ministry are engaged in making budgets day and night. From a week before the presentation of the Budget, these people have to spend 24 hours in the North Block. Once imprisoned, they are allowed to leave the North Block only after the Union Finance Minister presents the Budget in the Lok Sabha. On the 5th of July, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to present the Budget in the Lok Sabha.

It may be mentioned that budget printing is a kind of completely confidential function. The halwa ceremonies are conducted to lighten the Jatil process related to this. Officials and employees involved in the process of budget printing are cut off from all over the world for 10 days. These 100 officers and employees are also not allowed to go home. Only high officials of the Finance Ministry are allowed to go home.
