Ahmedabad: Railways is upgrading its facilities at a rapid pace, many Vande Bharat trains have started and continuous work is going on to improve the facilities. However, the countrymen are still eagerly waiting for the bullet train. The work on the ambitious bullet train project of the Railways between Mumbai and Ahmedabad has intensified. On Monday, the Ministry of Railways claimed that more than 98 percent of the land in Maharashtra has been acquired for this project.

Railway Ministry said that the ground infrastructure is being prepared for a distance of more than 118 kilometers and the work of construction of the bullet train station has also started. With the change of government in Maharashtra, the project's difficulties in terms of forest clearance and land acquisition seem to have gone away. In a series of tweets, the ministry informed that where 98.22 percent land in Maharashtra has been acquired. So there, 98.87 percent of the land has been acquired in Gujarat. Apart from this, 100 percent land has been acquired for the project in Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The ministry said that the progress in the work till November 23 was 24.1 percent, while in Gujarat about 30 percent work has been completed, while in Maharashtra about 13 percent work has been completed so far.

Explain that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is of 508 kilometers and most of it falls in Gujarat. The National High-Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), the implementing agency of the project, is to develop the Bandra-Kurla Complex and the network in Thane, Virar, and Boisar in Maharashtra. Officials said that the responsibility of almost all civil works in Gujarat has been handed over, along with the construction of all small and big bridges across Paya and rivers. The work of installing the upper structure on the pillars has also started. A contract has also been awarded for the construction of bullet train station and underground tunnel in Bandra-Kurla Complex. Officials said that the work related to pillars and upper structures would soon be seen in Maharashtra as in Gujarat. In Gujarat, the construction of bullet train stations has started in Anand, Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch, Vilimora, Vapi and Navsari districts.
