New Delhi: The Burgman Street scooter from Japanese brand Suzuki has made its India debut with a suggested retail price of Rs. 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter now has the "EX" suffix and is priced at Rs. 19,000 more than before.

The maxi-scooter now has auto start-stop function and silent-type integrated starter generator. It is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine.

In India, one of the most popular Suzuki models is the Burgman Street. Within a year of its launch in 2018, the company sold over one million units of the maxi-scooter.

However, the 125cc scooter market has taken off thanks to rivals like the TVS NTorq 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and the Honda Grazia.
New features are added to updated models to increase value.

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX keeps the same overall shape as the standard model and features a slimmer body, an upright windscreen, a wide handlebar, angled mirrors, a flat footboard, a single-piece step-up seat, a large grab rail, and a flat footboard. An elegant LED taillight.

The scooter includes a digital instrument console with Bluetooth functionality and smartphone connectivity. It has 12 inch alloy wheels.

Suzuki Burgman Street EX is powered by 125cc, air-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine. It is mated to CVT transmission. The mill produces 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm and 8.5 hp of peak power at 6,500 rpm.

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX gets Combined Braking System (CBS) for better braking performance, along with disc brake on the front wheel and drum brake on the rear wheel for the safety of the rider.

Telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock units at the side handle the suspension functions of the scooter.

Its price in India is Rs. 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2, Metallic Royal Bronze and Metallic Matte Black are the three color options for the maxi-scooter.
