Scotland: The Mk1 off-roader from Scotland-based Munro Vehicles has been released. Deliveries of the electric vehicle will begin next year.
The go-anywhere vehicle sports a boxy design, a rugged look, a spacious cabin and a host of tech features.
It has two electric powertrain options and can travel up to 306 kilometers on a single charge.
The company calls its hand-built Munro Mk1 model "the most capable all-electric 4x4" vehicle in the world. The mining, farming and construction industries are target markets for four-wheelers. It has the capacity to transport a payload of up to 1,000 kg

The Mk1 featured a flat bonnet, a rectangular panel in place of a grille, and headlights with circular light clusters. It is supported by a galvanized steel ladder chassis.
The blackened wheels with off-road-oriented tires flank the flared wheel arches, ORVMs and are placed on either side of it. The rear is adorned with a tailgate and circular LED taillamps.
It can wade up to 800mm deep water and has a ground clearance of 480mm.

The Munro Mk1's cabin has an austere appearance and the switchgear needs to be operated with gloves. The four-wheeler has two wireless phone charging pads, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and dual 240V sockets for items like kettles and microwaves.
Additionally available is a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and a digital instrument cluster.
Electric motors with 295hp and 375hp are available for the Munro Mk1 and are connected to either a 61kWh or 82kWh battery pack.
The four-wheeler has a top speed of 129 km/h, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and has a range of 306 km on a single charge.
Improved performance is ensured by an all-wheel-drive system, a two-speed transfer box and a central locking differential. It can tow up to 3,500 kg.

The Munro MK1 electric off-roader, which has a 130-inch wheelbase, has a starting price of £49,995 in the UK. Deliveries of the hand-built car will begin in 2023.
