Tragic accident on Yamuna Expressway, five including driver died

Lucknow: A major road accident took place on the Yamuna Expressway this morning. Five persons including the bus driver died in the road accident. One person is said to be injured. The injured person has been admitted to the hospital for treatment under the information received. There is a long jam on one side of the expressway after the accident.

The bus from Agra to Noida broke the divider and went to the other side near Milestone 71 in the Thana Nauhjheel area of Mathura this morning. The ford endeavour coming from the front collided with the car with a loud bang that followed. A woman and three persons in the car were reportedly died on the spot in the fatal accident. Bus driver Balwant Singh resident of Pathankot has also died in the clash. One person was injured in the accident and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

As soon as the police came to know about the incident, the police team which reached the spot is trying to identify the slain occupants. In the case, SP Dehat Srishchand said, "The empty bus was on its way from Agra to Noida. The bus driver, who went berserk after falling asleep, reached the Agra side from Noida and collided with the car and overturned. Four occupants of the car have died. The car riders were coming from Ghaziabad. Efforts are on to identify the deceased.''
