Gandhinagar: A bus carrying migrant laborers from Surat district of Gujarat on the border of Ganjam and Kandhamal in Odisha fell victim to the accident near Kalinga Ghat. 5 people including the bus driver were injured in this accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot along with firefighters. 57 people including three women were in this bus. All of them were being taken to Ganjam by bus.

The driver of the accident is being told that the driver is not familiar with the route. In this regard, Udaigiri SDPO JK Behera gave information that all the passengers are safe. This is the third vehicle accident within 24 hours. After three accidents, the state transport minister Padmanabha Behera has now asked to change the route of the yatra. Behera has said that the buses will now reach Ganjam via the Buddhist-Od village.

Another bus carrying the migrant laborers from Surat to Odisha was killed in an accident near Kalingaghati in Andhrakot on Ganjam-Kandhamal border on Saturday evening. Two people lost their lives in this accident, while many were injured. The bus coming to Odisha with migrant laborers was uncontrolled and overturned near Karanja on the Nagpur-Amravati National Highway in Maharashtra. Many passengers were injured in this accident. There were 50 migrant laborers on the bus.
