HYDERABAD: Five people were killed on Monday in Telangana's Kamareddy district when a TSRTC bus collided with a car following a tyre blowout.
A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus collided with a car coming from the opposite direction near the Ghanpur (M) village of Machareddy mandal.
A child was badly injured and five of the car's occupants were killed. The crash occurred after one of the bus's tyres broke and the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to police.
Coming from the opposite direction, the bus collided with the car. Following that, the carstruck with a tree. Two women and a child were among the victims. Another injured child was sent to a local hospital, where his condition is described as critical. According to a police officer, the car was travelling from Kamareddy to Karimnagar. The deceased were from the district of Nizamabad.
