According to cricket.com au, due to the forecast of rain, this match will now be played in Melbourne on Sunday instead of Sydney. Warne was to captain Warne XI, but he would no longer be present on that date, so Gilchrist now has to command Warne XI. Veteran Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar will take over as the coach of the Ponting XI team. While Sachin has been named coach of the Ponting XI team, West Indies fast bowler Courtney Walsh has been named coach of the Warriors XI team. This match will be 10-10 overs and the money that will be given to it will be given in charity.
