Mumbai: A great news for people who want to buy their own house in metropolitan cities. Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar of Maharashtra Government has recommended to the Fitment Committee that the 1 per cent GST for affordable homes, which was limited to 60 square meters of houses of 45 lakhs till now, Should be increased.

Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has cited the reason behind this is, in cities like Mumbai and Pune it is difficult to find homes at affordable prices. According to Mungantiwar, along with the fitment committee, they will also keep this recommendation in the GST Council. so that it can reach people. According to the information, the issue will be discussed in the GST Council after the Fitment Committee accepts the recommendation of Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar.

The festive season is starting in the country from next month i.e. September and everyone's dream is to enter a new home during the festive season. The period through which the real estate is going, there is a possibility that builders may cut prices to boost home sales.
