The first episode of tvN's new drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" aired on August 28 at 9 p.m. KST (5:30 p.m. IST) and got off to a good start, with the program receiving a No. 1 rating soon after it aired. Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah feature as the main characters in the weekend drama set in the little town of Gongjin.

Since it was announced, ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' has been on the minds of the masses. The fans were even more delighted when Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik were introduced, as this was a new pairing. It's also Shin Min Ah's first appearance on television in two years.

With the first episode, the rom-com drama grabbed the top spot across all channels in its time slot, including public broadcast networks, a remarkable achievement. It earned an average of 6.8% countrywide and peaked at 8.1 percent.

The plot of ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' takes place in the little coastal town of Gongjin, where Yoon Hye Jin, a confident dentist from the city, has relocated to the hamlet to open her own practice. She encounters Hong Doo Shik, a strange character who wanders around the hamlet assisting everyone for a fee. The third angle to this story is Ji Seong Hyun played by Lee Sang Yi who is a variety show director with a bright personality.
