Byelection voting: Manohar Parrikar is ahead in Goa while Congress in Bawana

Votes have been started for the by-election of Bawana Assembly in Delhi, Panaji and Valpoi of Goa and Nandayal assembly constituency of Andhra Pradesh. The result for two out the four Assembly seats matters the most.

While the Bawana assembly by-election has become a fight for prestige for political parties, on the other hand, by the Panaji assembly by-election, the decision of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will be decided.

In Bawana seat, Congress candidate Surendra Kumar got 3796 votes while BJP candidate Ved Prakash got 3154 votes and Aam Aadmi Party leader Ramchandra got 3451 votes.

The Bawana assembly seat is a tough fight between the ruling AIADMK, BJP and Congress candidates from Delhi. The three parties have kept alive to win this assembly seat reserved for Scheduled Castes. There are eight candidates in the election field, but the contest is between Aap, BJP and Congress. Polling was held in Delhi on August 23 in the largest Assembly constituency in Delhi.
