The Congress Party has described the Citizenship Amendment Act as unconstitutional and on the basis of religion. Opposition to this law from the Congress continues. The party has described it as unconstitutional and on the basis of religion. However, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal said on Saturday that it is unconstitutional for states to refuse to implement CAA. His statement is against the stand of his party. That is why on Sunday, while clarifying his previous statement, he has said that if the Supreme Court declares it constitutional then it will be difficult to oppose it. But our fight will continue.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, while clarifying his statement, wrote on Twitter, 'I believe CAA is unconstitutional. Every state assembly has the constitutional right to pass a resolution and demand it to be withdrawn. If the law is declared constitutional by the Supreme Court, then it becomes difficult to oppose it. The fight will continue.

Supporting Kapil Sibal's statement about the matter in a way, party leader Salman Khurshid said, "If the Supreme Court does not interfere, it will remain in the book of law." If something stays in the book of law, then you have to follow the law or else it will have serious consequences. As far as this law is concerned, this is a case where there is a deep disagreement between the state governments with the Center. Therefore, we will wait for the order of the Supreme Court. Ultimately, the court will decide and until then everything has been said / done / is short-lived and temporary.
