Amritsar: Voting for the Punjab Assembly elections is to be held on February 20, due to which political parties have dedicated their lives in campaigning. Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh, who left Congress and formed a separate party in the name of Punjab Lok Congress (PLC), has clearly said that Rajiv Gandhi was our friend. He used to study with us. We will not say anything about their children.

In fact, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had said that Captain Amarinder Singh was removed from the post of CM because he was working at the behest of the BJP and the Modi government at the Centre. In response to this question, Captain Amarinder Singh said that Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are children. I will not say anything about them. His father Rajiv Gandhi was my friend and we used to study together. I have known his father for 70 years. If you think that I will attack their children. So I won't do anything like that.

Captain Amarinder Singh said that what these people are saying that we were running the government in Punjab at the behest of the BJP, then it is a complete lie. It is the duty of the CM to work in coordination with the PM of the country. I had the Home Ministry. That is why there was contact with the Home Minister as well.
