Dubai: An Indian man is on trial for wrongly touching a woman at Dragon Mart. A court in Dubai heard the case. The local news channel reported on Sunday that the 35-year-old Syrian woman alleged that the 33-year-old accused followed her while she was at the Dragon Mart in August.
The woman told the court that, "When I saw the accused, I was buying some toys with my children. He was staring at me in such a way that I got scared." Accusing the woman, she said, "He stood behind me and started staring at my body. While I did not wear anything that was transparent."
According to the local media report, after this, when the accused touched the woman unfairly, the woman protested against it by making noise. After this, all the shopkeepers gathered there and later the police came on the spot and arrested the accused. The accused has confessed that he had teased the woman. Dubai's Public Prosecution has accused the accused of sexually abusing the victim.
