New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran and former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday (September 23, 2022) said that the CBI and ED are no longer "caged parrots" but have now become "gems of law", performing their duties without any bias. In May 2013, the Supreme Court had come down heavily on both the government and the investigating agency while expressing strong displeasure over the government's interference in the progress report of the CBI investigation in the Indian coal allocation scam case.

The Supreme Court had said that the CBI has become a caged parrot, which speaks the dialect of its owner. This is such an immoral story, in which a parrot has many owners. Saying to the media in Moradabad and Rampur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday (September 23, 2022), former Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi slammed the opposition parties for accusing the government of misusing the investigating agencies.

He said those who raise such questions are in the dock for doing wrong things. Former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said these "champions of corruption" are in trouble nowadays, so they are making baseless statements against agencies.
