Mumbai: The CBI has filed a corruption case against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. In addition to Anil Deshmukh's house, searches are now being conducted at several of his hideouts. You must be aware that Anil Deshmukh was accused of recovery by former Mumbai Commissioner Param Bir Singh. After that, he had to resign as the Home Minister of Maharashtra. The CBI then initiated an inquiry against Anil Deshmukh on the high court order in connection with the case. In the same episode, the CBI today, Saturday, has registered an FIR against Anil Deshmukh in action under the high court order.

In fact, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had accused Home Minister Anil Deshmukh of targeting Waje with a weekly recovery target of Rs 100 crore. Following his allegations, the Bombay High Court heard a PIL in the case and handed over the entire case to the CBI. In fact, advocate Jayashree Patil had filed this petition against Anil Deshmukh. Not only that but NCP chief Sharad Pawar's name was also tossed in the matter.

You must be aware that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had leveled serious allegations against Anil Deshmukh. In fact, in the past, Parambir Singh had written to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alleging that "Suspended police officer Sachin Waje, the prime accused in the murder of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of Ambani's house, had been targeted by Anil Deshmukh to recover Rs 100 crore every month'.'
