Kolkata: After a lot of effort, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has traced the location of IPS officer and former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Thursday. The investigating agency has issued a new summons to Rajiv Kumar for questioning in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam at 11 am today. Kumar has not appeared before the CBI in any of his summons and if he does not appear at 11 am, the CBI can arrest him.
Earlier, the CBI raided several places in search of IPS officer Rajiv Kumar, who is wanted by the federal agency in connection with the investigation of the Saradha chit fund scam. Kumar has not appeared in public since Friday evening after the removal of the interim relief granted to him by the Calcutta High Court from his arrest. Even after sending several notices by the investigating agency, he did not appear before the CBI.
The CBI team of the Special Investigation Team set up to look for Rajiv Kumar raided the mess of the IPS officers of Alipore, Kumar's official residence at Park Street and a five-star hotel in the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass.
