There has been a series of bomb threats on the planes of various airlines across the country for the past several days. On Sunday also, there was a threat of bombs on 25 planes, after which there was a threat of bombs on 25 more planes. Regarding these threats, Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) RS Bhatti and Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Zulfiqar Hasan also met Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan in his office. During this meeting, the Home Ministry was informed about the fake threatening calls on domestic and international flights. The central government has become strict in this case. They decided to change the law. Along with this, the culprit will also be punished with a fine.

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu had even talked about bombing the planes. He said about this, "If necessary, we have considered some legislative action from the ministry. We have come to the conclusion that there are two areas on which we can be seen working. 1. Amendment in aircraft security rules. What we want to do by changing these rules is that when the culprit is caught, we want to put them on the no-flying list. 2. We have talked about completely eliminating illegal activities against the Civil Aviation Security Act." He continued his talk and said, "We are putting it in the list of cognizable crimes, and on the basis of that amendment, punishment will also be given along with a fine."

In view of these continuous threats, the Home Ministry has increased precautionary vigilance at airports even more. They have also appealed to report these false threats. On Sunday, bomb threats were received on more than 20 Indian planes, including the Indigo, Vistara, Air India, and Akasa. There were also reports of bombs on six flights each of Indigo, Vistara, and Air India. An Indigo spokesperson has said that security protocols have been fully followed after receiving bomb threats in Indigo's 6E 58 Jeddah to Mumbai, 6E87 Kozhikode to Dammam, 6E11 Delhi to Istanbul, 6E17 Mumbai to Istanbul, 6E133 Pune to Jodhpur, and 6E112 Goa to Ahmedabad flights.
