Kolkata: Investigations on the cattle smuggling scandal that came to light before the assembly elections in West Bengal have intensified. Taking action in this case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued summons to four BSF officers. These four officers have to appear before the investigating agency this week before the Central Bureau of Investigation in the cattle smuggling case.

It is worth mentioning that there was talk of smuggling of cattle on the borders of India and Bangladesh for a long time, in which the involvement of local officials and leaders was also revealed. Not only this, but the CBI also arrested a BSF officer some time ago. Now CBI has sent a summons to four officers of BSF, including one DIG. Apart from DIG, two Assistant Commandants, one Deputy Commandant have been called.

Actually, a report has been given to the CBI by BSF only last week. In which information is available of all those officers who were posted on the Bangladesh border between 2015-2018. The CBI investigation is continuing in this case and it is expected that some other BSF officers can be summoned soon.
