New Delhi: Although the lockdown implemented to prevent infection of the coronavirus till 3 May, but before that the Modi government has relaxed a bit. In the new advisory issued by the government, only a few shops have been allowed to open in urban and rural areas. E-commerce companies have also been told not to sell non-essential goods.

According to the advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, e-commerce companies will be able to sell only essential products. This means that you can only ask for products related to food and drink from e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart. Other products including freeze, cooler, AC will not be able to be ordered at the moment.

These non-essential products will be provided after the lockdown is over. Earlier, the government had said that electronic products such as mobile phones, TVs, laptops will be available on the platform of e-commerce companies from April 20. However, it has to be approved locally at the time of its delivery. But the decision was opposed by the Federation of All India Traders (CAIT), a traders' association. After which the central government had withdrawn its order.
