Parliament session: Govt has no data of migrants’ deaths during lockdown

New Delhi: Monsoon session of Parliament has started from Monday. The government is constantly being questioned in writing by the opposition. An MP asked the government how many migrant workers died in the 68-day lockdown implemented across the country from March 25 to prevent corona infection? In response to this question, the central government replied that no data is available. As such data was not collected at all.

Apart from this, the question was asked whether the government has given ration to all the ration cardholders for free, if yes, give information about it. On this, the state-wise data was not available from the Ministry. But it has been said to provide five kilograms of extra rice or wheat, one kg of pulses by November 2020 to 80 crore people.

Let us tell you that for the first time in the history of the Lok Sabha, the MPs who took part in the proceedings of the Lok Sabha started on Monday with the monsoon session were allowed to sit in their seats. For the first time, members of the Lok Sabha sat in the Upper House and participated in the proceedings of the House. This initiative was implemented to prevent the spread of the Corona epidemic.
