Jaipur: The seizure of Inox oxygen tankers in Rajasthan seems to be taking a big turn. The company has alleged that 4 of its tankers have been seized by the police in Rajasthan. Inox company supplies medical-grade oxygen to hospitals. After the matter came to light, the Central Government has assured to take action in the matter. The company had also raised the matter in the Delhi High Court.

The High Court has advised that the Delhi government should appoint a nodal officer to be approached by suppliers under any such circumstances. The Union Government said that the seizure of tankers in Rajasthan will have serious consequences. It may be recalled that for the last one and a half weeks, there have been several reports where oxygen tankers have been diverted or seized. The High Court has asked the Centre to make proper arrangements in the matter of obstructing the way of oxygen tankers. The Central Government has since said that action will be taken in the matter so that an example can be set before other States also. Strict action will be taken on such incidents.

The Central Government assured the companies, "If any government stops you, tell us. In such cases, we will register criminal cases. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that no one can touch oxygen tankers and a green corridor should be constructed for its safe movement. For this, we have also adopted a GPS tracking system which will help the Government to know the location of tankers".
