New Delhi: The Central Government has made a big change in the rules related to vehicle registration. Now in the registration document of the vehicles, the ownership or ownership information has to be given in detail. The Modi government at the Center has notified this by changing the motor vehicle rules. This means that now this new rule has been implemented.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has said in a statement that, "We have issued a notification on 22 October 2020 for changes in Form 20 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, so that the ownership details are clearly recorded at the time of registration of vehicles." It is considered to be particularly beneficial for the differently-abled. The statement clearly stated that now the document will clearly state the ownership details under categories like autonomous body, central government, charitable trust, driving training school, PwD, educational institute, local authority, police department etc.
The government says that this step will help the differently-abled. In fact, under the various schemes of the government for the purchase / ownership / operation of motor vehicles, the disabled are being given the benefit of GST and other concessions. With this change, they will be able to get these benefits properly.
