CBI to open 'Hathras Case' secrets, Centre issues notification

New Delhi: The Central Government has issued a notification on Saturday (October 10, 2020) informing them that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will probe the alleged gangrape and murder of a 19-year-old Dalit woman in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh.  Officials said CBI can lodge an FIR in this regard by late night or on Sunday (October 11, 2020) morning. CBI will re-register the FIR lodged by the state police and initiate the investigation of the case.

The Yogi Government of up had recommended to the central government to look into the Hathras case on the last Saturday (October 3, 200). After the notification of the DOPT Department of the central government, CBI has taken over the Hathras case. CBI will soon start investigating Hathras case. So far, hathras case was being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Recently, the Yogi government had given 10 days more time to complete the investigation so that the reality could come out. It was reported that the government took this decision because of the ever-increasing controversy in the matter, but now the matter has come to the CBI.

Let us tell you that four youths allegedly gang-raped a 19-year-old Dalit girl on September 14. The victim died during treatment at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on 29th September.
