'Garbage free' cities rating released, Indore-Mysore gets five stars

New Delhi: The rating of waste-free cities of the country was released by the central government on Tuesday. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri released these ratings in the country's capital Delhi, in which five big cities of the country have been given five-star ratings. Among the five star rated cities, Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh, Rajkot in Gujarat, Mysore in Karnataka are also included.

Releasing the list of garbage-free cities in New Delhi, Hardeep Singh said that it is very important to take care of cleanliness in the fight against Coronavirus because it helps to keep the environment clean.

Names of the five cities receiving five-star ratings: -

• Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh

• Rajkot, Gujarat

• Mysore, Karnataka

• Indore, Madhya Pradesh

• Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra

Apart from these cities, about 70 cities of the country have been given One Star rating. At the same time, cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad have been given a three-star rating. Hardeep Singh said that almost every city has followed the guidelines issued by the ministry. In this case, keeping in mind many aspects, this list has been finalized. Hardeep Puri said that the contribution by cities in this way is very important in creating a clean, healthy, strong and prosperous India. Every city and village has its own role to play.
