New Delhi: While the agriculture sector is taking the lead in reviving the economy back on track during the crisis of Corona epidemic, there is a lot of expectation from the most employable MSME sector. Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said at Swavalamban e-Summit 2020 that our MSME sector contributes significantly to the growth of our country, 30% of GDP growth rate comes from MSME, our 48% export MSME and so far we have created 11 crore jobs.
He further said, 'My belief and idea is that we should increase this growth rate to at least 30 percent to 50 percent, 48 percent to 60 percent of exports and create 5 crore new jobs in the coming 5 years. Unregistered enterprises need to register themselves under the micro industry to get the benefit of MSMEs. We are also looking to cover small traders. We need help from NGOs to encourage such people to register. '
In the announcement of the historic 20 lakh crore relief package to deal with the Corona crisis, the maximum relief has been given to the MSME sector. Under this, MSME has been given the facility of unsecured loan of 3 lakh crore. This is benefiting 45 lakh MSMEs.
