New Delhi: Politics has been steadily intensifying in the case of the gang rape of a Dalit girl in Hathras. On Thursday, a series of allegations have now begun for former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for not being allowed to meet the family of the victim. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, while attacking Rahul and Priyanka, has termed it as political hypocrisy of both the brothers and sisters.
Ravi Shankar Prasad, while targeting Rahul-Priyanka, asked if there was a heinous crime in the Congress-ruled Rajasthan, but why did the two have been silent? On a question on a statement by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Prasad said he did not pay attention to his words. Gehlot had said that if the BJP leaders came to his state, he would not stop them.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad further said, "I would like to ask Priyanka Gandhi to talk about the rape of a daughter for 18 years in UP. Why were you and your brother silent on Rajasthan? The rape victims were also the daughters of someone. It is political hypocrisy".
